Your private guide will meet you at Marmaris Cruise Port with a sign written “Your Name“ on it, anytime you want. We are going to drive around 1 hour to reach Dalyan.
Upon reaching Dalyan we will be transferred to a smaller boat (Kayik) to be taken up the stunning river delta which was used in the the film ‘The African Queen’ staring Humphrey Bogart. This area is well known in Turkey as being one of the most unpoiled towns. As we travel up the river towards the King’s Rock Tombs we will see all kinds of wildlife living in the reeds including turtles, birds and fish.
Our first stop is to the King’s Rock Tombs which date back to around 400 BC. These tombs are the resting place of the Kings of Caunos.
Our next stop will be Ancient city of Caunos, born in the banks of the river. We are going to visit and see a Byzantine Church, Roman Amphitheatre, Roman Bath, Agora and Fountain.
After Caunos, we will sail to Iztuzu Beach which is also known as Turtle Beach or Caretta Caretta Beach. It is one of the main breeding grounds for Loggerhead Sea Turtles (Caretta Caretta) in the Mediterranean. You are going to have 30 mins. free time to explore and relax.
We will sail back to our van to start driving back to cruise port. End of services.
